How it went in 2025

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Pozzaglia Sabina, in the Province of Rieti, renewed its annual appointment with its saint. The day was marked by the 11:15 AM Eucharistic celebration in Piazza Sant'Agostina, held outdoors in the heart of the village before the faithful, pilgrims, and families originally from the town who returned for the occasion.

The Mass was followed by the traditional procession along the streets of Pozzaglia, accompanied by prayers and hymns, while in the afternoon, participants gathered in the parish church of San Nicola di Bari for Eucharistic adoration and the kissing of the relic of Saint Agostina, patron saint of Italian nurses.

As every year, visits to the sites linked to the saint — the birthplace, now a museum, and the Rifolta Chapel — completed a day that combines popular devotion and community identity.
