Sagra di San Nicolò

A historic festival of the Marca Trevigiana

The Sagra di San Nicolò is one of the longest-running and most popular events in Ponte di Piave, in the province of Treviso. Reaching its 45th edition in 2026, it takes place between late September and early October, dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary. The organisation is entirely handled by Pro Loco San Nicolò, with the support of a large group of volunteers.

The flavours of the Piave, evening after evening

The highlight of the event is the food stand, which offers a different specialty each evening: from the evening of codfish and stewed cuttlefish to wild boar, from spit-roasted quail to the fish evening, up to tastings of typical products, with octopus and chestnuts among the autumn protagonists. A gastronomic review that tells the story of the cuisine of the Piave Lands.

The kingdom of ballroom dancing

On the covered dance floor with free admission, the most famous orchestras of Veneto ballroom dancing take turns, from I Rodigini to Marco & I Niagara, from Stefano Gelmini to Pietro Galassi. In recent years, the sagra has concluded with the Magnalonga delle Terre del Piave, a food and wine walk through vineyards and countryside. An event that combines faith, gastronomic tradition, and the passion for dancing that characterises the festivals of the Venetian plain.
