Edition 2025 — Sagra di San Luigi in Alvisopoli
In 2025, Alvisopoli (Fossalta di Portogruaro, Venice) once again hosted its Sagra di San Luigi, between late May and mid-June: Veneto-Friulian cuisine, card tournaments, dancing evenings, shows, and the historic horizontal greased pole contest on the Taglio canal.
The 2025 edition of the Sagra di San Luigi in Alvisopoli confirmed the ancient tradition of the festival in the hamlet of Fossalta di Portogruaro (Venice). The food stalls offered dishes from the Veneto-Friulian cuisine, while the program alternated tournaments, dancing evenings, music, and shows.
In 2025, the historic horizontal greased pole contest on the Taglio canal, a popular challenge held for over a century and remaining the distinctive mark of the event, was also present.
