Edition 2025 — Sagra di San Giovanni
In 2025, the Sagra di San Giovanni renewed the centuries-old tradition of Isola Comacina, with the evening fireworks display, the "lumaghitt" lights, and the historic boat procession. Thousands of spectators gathered along the shores of Lake Como, between Argegno and Tremezzina, for one of the most evocative events of the Como summer season.
The 2025 edition of the Sagra di San Giovanni confirmed the timeless charm of one of the oldest festivals on Lake Como.
The evening fireworks display on Isola Comacina, the characteristic "lumaghitt" lights, and the sacred boat procession attracted a large audience along the lake shores. The festival, which combines devotion to Saint John the Baptist with the memory of the island's destruction in 1169, reaffirmed its role as an identity event for the central lake municipalities.
