Edition 2025 — Sagra della Varola

The 2025 edition of the Sagra della Varola took place in Melfi from October 17th to 19th, inaugurating the 'Ottobre Melfitano' program. Three days celebrated the Marroncino del Vulture with roasted chestnuts, gastronomic specialties, and lots of music, while the following weekend (October 24th-26th) was dedicated to the Medieval and Falconry Days.

The 2025 Edition

From October 17th to 19th, 2025, the historic center of Melfi transformed into a large fragrant forest for the Sagra della Varola, the festival of Melfi's Chestnut 'which invades the streets with its aroma'. The event opened the 'Ottobre Melfitano' program, the city's narrative through taste, culture, and beauty, promoted by the Municipality of Melfi together with the Pro Loco. Thousands of visitors crowded Piazza Umberto I and the village streets to taste chestnuts, desserts, and typical products of the Vulture region.
