Sagra della Ciccia Festival

The 2025 Sagra della Ciccia took place in Montevirginio, a village in Canale Monterano, from Friday, August 1st to Sunday, August 3rd in Piazza Sant'Egidio. The kitchens, open in the evening, offered a rich meat menu: mutton gnocchi, fettuccine with white ragù, hunter-style stew, sausages, sheep arrosticini, Brazilian churrasco, spit-roasted suckling pig, and mixed bruschetta.

Every evening, the festival was enlivened by live music, with concerts by 5 On The Blues and Soulshine heating up the atmosphere. The entire proceeds, resulting from the work of over 150 volunteers from the Contrada Montevirginio, were allocated to the organization of the Palio delle Contrade and the historic Corsa del Bigonzo.
