Edition 2025 — Riso Novello e Mortorio
In 2025, the Sagra del Riso Novello and Mortorio once again enlivened Rosasco on the second Sunday of September. New rice dinner and lunch, dancing, and the setting up of the ancient Mortorio catafalque in the parish church combined gastronomy and centuries-old tradition.
The 2025 edition of the Sagra del Riso Novello and Mortorio confirmed the September event in Rosasco, in the heart of the rice-growing Lomellina region.
The festival offered dinner and lunch featuring new rice, accompanied by music and dancing, while in the parish church, the Mortorio was set up, the imposing catafalque that has testified since 1727 to the community's devotion born from the vow against the Sesia floods.
