Edition 2025 — Muscoli alla Saracena
In 2025, the Sagra dei Muscoli alla Saracena celebrated its 38th edition in Borgomaro on July 12th. The 'U Castellu' Association offered 'alla Saracena' mussels in the traditional outdoor dinner on wooden tables, with local wine and a dancing evening, attracting numerous visitors from the Maro Valley and the Imperia coast.
The 2025 edition of the Sagra dei Muscoli alla Saracena, the 38th, was held on July 12th in Borgomaro. The 'U Castellu' Association served mussels prepared according to the characteristic 'alla Saracena' recipe in the grand outdoor dinner, set up on long wooden tables in the village. The evening, accompanied by local wine and dancing, confirmed the success of a long-standing sagra, capable of bringing the flavour of the sea to the hinterland of the Maro Valley, in the province of Imperia.
