Edition 2025 — Sagra dei Marroni
The 54th edition of the Sagra dei Marroni took place on October 25 and 26, 2025, in Piazza degli Alpini in San Mauro di Saline. The programme combined gastronomy and tradition: roasted and raw chestnuts, Lessinia specialities such as tripe, entertainment for children, and musical performances on Saturday, with an evening Holy Mass and a 1970s-1980s style dance party. Sunday offered a conference on the chestnut tree in the traditional economy of Lessinia, the award ceremony for the "Marrone San Mauro" competition, ballroom dancing, and a theatre performance. The guided cycling excursion through the chestnut groves completed a festival with free admission, with parking and shuttle service available to visitors.
