Sagra de lu Purpu Octopus Festival

The 2025 edition of the Sagra de lu Purpu took place on the evening of Wednesday, August 6, 2025, along the marina of Marittima, a hamlet of the Municipality of Diso, in the province of Lecce. The heart of the evening, as always, was the octopus prepared according to traditional Salento recipes, accompanied by local products and regional wines.

The musical entertainment was provided by folk music: the Leonardo Cordella ensemble performed on stage, paying tribute to the sounds and rhythms of the Salento tradition, enlivening the marina starting at 10:00 PM. The evening was part of the calendar of pizzicate evenings in the Salento August, confirming the festival as one of the key summer events for the small seaside village.
