Edition 2025 — Sagra de lu Porcu Pri Pri
The 23rd edition
The 23rd edition of the festival took place on the evening of Thursday, August 14, 2025, starting at 9:00 PM, in the center of Montesardo (Alessano, province of Lecce). As every year, the village was filled with visitors arriving from all over the Capo di Leuca area to enjoy roast porchetta and homemade pasta prepared by hand, along with pittule, frise, and peasant cuisine dishes.
The evening was accompanied by a live concert from the group Ionica Aranea and traveling pizzica led by maestro Calsolaro, who drew the public into traditional dances and songs through the village alleys. The event, with free admission, was organized by the Associazione Pro Montesardo aps with the involvement of volunteers and local families.
Programme
Thursday, August 14, 2025
- From 9:00 PM — Opening of food stalls in the Church Square: roast porchetta (lu porcu Pri Pri), homemade pasta, pittule, frise, and traditional Salento dishes.
- In the evening — Live concert by the group Ionica Aranea.
- Following — Traveling pizzica with maestro Calsolaro through the village streets.
