Sacred Representation of the Passion of Christ in Sezze

On April 18, 2025, Sezze celebrated the 93rd edition of its Sacred Representation, confirming its status as one of the major Holy Week events in the Lazio region. Over 500 actors and extras—including hundreds of locals in period costumes, from children to the elderly—brought the Old and New Testament tableaux to life along the streets of the historic center, followed by tens of thousands of spectators.

The direction of Piero Formicuccia, who has led the artistic side of the event for over forty years, aimed to entrust the edition with a message of reconciliation and peace between nations. The evening concluded with the procession of the statue of the Dead Christ and the Madonna, accompanied by the confraternities—the most intimate and heartfelt moment of the Sezze Good Friday night.
