Sacred Heart of Jesus Festival

From September 21 to 28, 2025, the Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Rosolini hosted the 2025 edition of its most important festival. The week was marked by daily Holy Masses animated by the various parish communities and by pilgrimages that brought faithful from all over south-eastern Sicily to the city.

As per tradition, the artistic flower festival was set up along Via Immacolata, and there was no shortage of civic events — the collection of votive offerings with the marching band, the auction in the square, and evenings of entertainment. The festival culminated on the final Sunday with the solemn procession of the venerated statue of the Sacred Heart through the streets of the center and with the final fireworks display.

Final Sunday (September 28)

• Opening of the Sanctuary in the early morning and Eucharistic celebrations
• Solemn Mass presided over by the Bishop
• Evening procession of the venerated statue of the Sacred Heart through the streets of the center (Roma, Solferino, Carducci, Noto, Corso Savoia, Piazza Garibaldi)
• Final fireworks display
