Sacred Heart of Jesus Festival

The 2025 edition, organized by the Sacred Heart of Jesus Association under the spiritual guidance of Father Cesare Pisani, opened with the novena from June 19 to 27, the day of the liturgical solemnity of the Sacred Heart. The evenings in Piazza Sant'Agostino alternated religious appointments with free civil entertainment.

The external festival on Sunday, June 29, featured the traditional dawn rocket firing from the Molo di Levante, the procession of the sacred effigy through the streets of the center accompanied by city bands, and, late at night, the grand fireworks display over the sea. The festival concluded with a thanksgiving mass and the presentation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Bontà Award, a recognition dedicated to those who have distinguished themselves for generosity and commitment in the Giovinazzo area.
