Edition 2025 — Perdòn di Barbana
In July 2025, the centuries-old tradition of Sabo Grando and Perdòn di Barbana was renewed in Grado, with the popular festival on Saturday and the votive procession of boats in the lagoon towards the sanctuary of Barbana on the first Sunday of the month.
As every year since 1237, in 2025 the Grado community renewed its vow with the Perdòn di Barbana. On Saturday, Sabo Grando animated the historic centre with music and popular performances; on Sunday, after Mass in the Basilica of Sant'Eufemia, the procession of decorated boats crossed the lagoon to the island sanctuary of Barbana, where solemn Mass was celebrated, followed by the return to the port and the Te Deum of thanksgiving.
