Edition 2025 — Ruggero Maccari Award

From July 17 to 20, 2025, Cetona hosted "Towards the Maccari Award: Passport for Cinema", four days of screenings, meetings, and masterclasses dedicated to cinematic writing between Italy and the world. The event, under the artistic direction of Ludovica Fales, served as a bridge to the 2026 edition of the award, enlivening the Sienese village with auteur cinema.

From July 17 to 20, 2025, the village of Cetona (province of Siena) hosted "Towards the Maccari Award: Passport for Cinema", four days of screenings, meetings, and masterclasses dedicated to cinematic writing between Italy and the world.

The event, with artistic direction by Ludovica Fales and organizational direction by Lidia Barillà, featured screenings of auteur films and meetings with directors, as well as masterclasses on screenwriting and the "Aperipitch" mentoring activity. Among the titles on the program were works by Maria Giménez Cavallo, Gurcan Keltek, Sara Fgaier, and Ivan Gergolet.
