Rubianum 997 — the first edition (2025)

2025 marked the baptism of Rubianum 997, the festival with which Roviano chose to celebrate its millennial origins. Around the anniversary of June 28 — the day in 997 when the village castle was first mentioned in a document by Pope Gregory V — the Pro Loco of Roviano brought to life a completely new palio, built together with the community.

For the occasion, the four districts of the village were born, each with its own colors and symbols: Torre, Bosco, Leveta, and Vagli. The popular challenges held in the historic center crowned the first winner in the history of the event: the Torre district, which thus became the first to have its name inscribed in the golden book. The local press reported a successful and highly participatory debut, prompting the organizers to immediately confirm the event for 2026.
