Rosenmontagsball — Summer Edition 2025

The summer masquerade ball of Frassineto (Verschneid), a hamlet of Meltina in the province of Bolzano, debuted in the summer of 2025 as a summer version of the traditional Carnival Rosenmontagsball. The idea of the Südtiroler Bauernjugend Ortsgruppe Mölten to transfer masks and costumes from Shrove Monday to a late June evening immediately won over the young audience of the plateau above Bolzano.

On the open-air Festplatz of the hamlet, the evening combined dancing, DJ music, and the classic costume contest, an essential element of every South Tyrolean Rosenmontagsball. The success of this first edition led to its return in 2026, presented as Summer Edition 2.0, confirming the festival as a new summer event in Frassineto.
