Rome Winter Sailing Championship

The 2024-2025 edition

The 44th edition of the Rome Winter Sailing Championship opened the season on Sunday, October 27, 2024, and concluded on March 9, 2025, after nine race days in the waters off Ostia, in the Metropolitan City of Rome. Registrations closed on October 25, with the Circolo Velico Fiumicino's sporting management aiming to exceed eighty crews and bring the total number of races to sixteen.

Four categories were at the start — ORC Regatta, Cruiser, Mini-offshore, and White Sails — with an organizational innovation appreciated by the sailors: buoys of different shapes and colors for each grouping, to facilitate course recognition on the water. The club also confirmed a 50% discount on the registration fee for female crews and accompanied the races with a cycle of seminars and training sessions at its headquarters.
