Edition 2025 — RIDF

The 2025 edition of the Rome International Documentary Festival took place from December 3 to 7, 2025, at the Cinema Tibur in San Lorenzo, Rome, featuring 36 documentaries divided into the WORLD-DOC, ITA-DOC, and SHORT-DOC sections. This edition included a thematic focus on childhood and family relationships, enriched by masterclasses, special events, and the 'Documenting Peace' section.

From December 3 to 7, 2025, the Cinema Tibur in San Lorenzo, Rome, hosted the 2025 edition of the Rome International Documentary Festival, with 36 documentaries on the program. The opening ceremony on Wednesday, December 3, was followed by the competition days for the WORLD-DOC, ITA-DOC, and SHORT-DOC sections, featuring works from all over the world, all subtitled in English.

Among the most anticipated events were the masterclasses by Francesco Munzi and Valerio Azzali (Saturday, December 6) and Claire Simon (Sunday, December 7), which were free to attend, as well as the Documenting Peace section and Special Events. The edition featured a thematic focus dedicated to childhood and family relationships. The awards ceremony and the screening of the winning films closed the event on Sunday, December 7.
