Tienimi presente by Alberto Palmiero won the award for best first feature, while the newly created award for best documentary went to Cuba & Alaska by Yegor Troyanovsky.
Among the special recognitions, lifetime achievement awards were given to Richard Linklater and Jafar Panahi, the Master of Film award to Edgar Reitz, and the Industry Lifetime Achievement Award to Lord David Puttnam.
