The 2025 edition of the Romantic Night in the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy was held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, coinciding with the summer solstice. Penne was among the villages in Abruzzo and Molise that joined the initiative, alongside Abbateggio, Bugnara, Campli, Caramanico Terme, Casoli, Castel del Monte, Città Sant'Angelo, Civitella del Tronto, Crecchio, Frosolone, Guardiagrele, Navelli, Oratino, Pacentro, Rocca San Giovanni, Santo Stefano di Sessanio, Scanno, and Tagliacozzo.
The evening, dedicated to romance, culture, and local flavors, enlivened the historic center of Penne with performances, concerts, exhibitions, installations, guided tours, and tastings. There was also the official "Pensiero d'Amore" dessert, served in participating venues, and the symbolic midnight kiss, accompanied by the release of biodegradable balloons to close the evening. The event, with free admission, saw a great turnout of residents and visitors in the brick village.
