Romantic Night in the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy

The 2025 edition of the Romantic Night in the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy took place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, on the night of the summer solstice. Among the numerous participating Abruzzo villages was Castel del Monte, in the Province of L'Aquila.

As in the other municipalities of the network, from sunset until late at night, the village lit up simultaneously with lights, torches, and candles. The widespread program animated squares and alleys with music, performances, gastronomy, and moments dedicated to love, including the official "Pensiero d'Amore" dessert served in participating venues. The setting of the medieval historic center, in the heart of the Gran Sasso National Park, made the evening an evocative and romantic experience under the stars of Abruzzo.
