Romagna Carnival of Gambettola

The 139th edition of the Carnival of Romagna of Gambettola, in the province of Forlì-Cesena, confirmed the formula that makes this festival unique on the Italian scene: parades during the Easter period, from Easter Monday to the following Sunday. The first parade was held on Monday, April 21st at 3:30 PM, and the final parade on Sunday, April 27th in the evening. Five large first-category allegorical floats and fifteen second-category floats paraded, animated by over a thousand costumed figures and accompanied by marching bands. The technical and popular jury crowned the Giovani Tonici group as the winner with the float "Il Paese dei Balocchi" (The Land of Toys), confirming the success of the previous edition. The historic center of Gambettola once again transformed into a large Carnival village, with entertainment, exhibitions, and shows for families.
