Romaeuropa Festival (REF)

For its fortieth anniversary, the 2025 Romaeuropa Festival offered a programme of great international scope in eleven spaces of the capital, including the Auditorium Conciliazione, the Teatro Argentina, and the Teatro dell'Opera. The inauguration was entrusted to the National Ballet of Spain with choreography by Marcos Morau. Among the most anticipated moments were Laurie Anderson with the new version of Let X = X, the project Novecento: Il duello by Alessandro Baricco with Alessio Bertallot, Stefano Bollani, and Enrico Rava, and a tribute to the centenary of Luciano Berio. There was no shortage of sections dedicated to new generations, ULTRA REF and REF Kids, confirming the festival's dual spirit between great masters and emerging creativity.
