Edition 2025 — Roma Città Aperta

The 6th edition of Roma Città Aperta took place from December 1 to 8, 2025, at the Hotel Eurostars Roma Aeterna, in Piazza del Pigneto, Rome. The Festival featured classic Master, Open A, Open B, and Open C tournaments over nine rounds, with a total prize pool of eleven thousand euros. The event confirmed its international vocation, attracting chess players of all levels to the Pigneto district.

The 2025 Edition

The sixth edition of the Roma Città Aperta International Chess Festival was held from December 1 to 8, 2025, at the Hotel Eurostars Roma Aeterna, in Rome's Pigneto district. The competitive program was divided into Master, Open A, Open B, and Open C tournaments, all played over nine rounds with classic time controls.

With a total prize pool of eleven thousand euros and registrations managed via an online platform, the 2025 edition confirmed the event's steady growth, laying the groundwork for the seventh edition in December 2026 in Rome, Lazio.
