Edition 2025 — Rola Festival

The 41st edition of the Rola Festival - Festival of the Cuckold took place in Rocca Canterano on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9, 2025. Two days of food stalls, roasted chestnuts, local wine, and live music, with the traditional burlesque parade marching through the village streets on both days, featuring giant horns, participants dressed in red, and the cuckold of the year carried in triumph.

In 2025, the Rola Festival - Festival of the Cuckold returned to Rocca Canterano, in the Aniene Valley, for its 41st edition. The food stalls were open on Saturday, November 8 from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Sunday, November 9 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, offering role, cecamariti, beans with pork rinds, sausage and chicory sandwiches, arrosticini, fried potatoes with cacio e pepe, and local wine.

The burlesque parade started on Saturday at 6:30 PM and on Sunday at 4:30 PM, crossing the alleys of the historic center with the float of giant horns, the cuckold of the year on a donkey, and the poet who recited his verses in honor of Saint Martin. Live music also accompanied the two days. The turnout was very high, with the village practically full from the early afternoon on Saturday.

Programme

Saturday, November 8: food stalls from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM; burlesque parade at 6:30 PM. Sunday, November 9: food stalls from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM; burlesque parade at 4:30 PM. Live music on both days.
