Edition 2025 — Rocca in Arte
The first edition of Rocca in Arte
On Saturday, July 19, 2025, starting at 9:00 AM, the village of Roccacasale hosted the first edition of Rocca in Arte, an open-air painting competition with a free theme. 40 artists from all over Central Italy participated, with a registration fee of 15 euros that included a convivial lunch.
The jury, chaired by Mayor Enrico Pace, was composed of well-known figures from the local art scene: Michele De Grandis, Gino Litigante, Simone D'Amico, and Aldo Di Pillo. Cash prizes were awarded to Concetta Daidone (first place), Francesco Costanzo (second), Antonio Mazziale (third), Antonio Civitarese (fourth), and Marco Gentile (fifth); three young artists received a special mention. The initiative, promoted by the Councilor for Culture Valerio Guadagnoli, showcased every alley of the village in the province of L'Aquila, paving the way for future editions.
