Rocca di Papa Chestnut Festival

The 45th edition, October 17-19, 2025

The 2025 edition of the Chestnut Festival confirmed the three-day format, from Friday to Sunday, with stalls opening in the late afternoon of Friday, October 17th. The streets and squares of the historic center of Rocca di Papa hosted roasting stations for chestnuts, stalls selling chestnut desserts, jams, and honey, as well as a craft market.

The musical program reached its peak on Saturday, October 18th in Piazza della Repubblica, with a free concert by Michele Zarrillo, joined throughout the weekend by the traditional concert by the Screpanti and local groups. There was no shortage of the historical costume pageant with flag-throwers, street performers, and attractions for children.

The closing, on Sunday, October 19th, was traditionally marked by the fireworks display launched from the medieval fortress, visible from most of the Castelli Romani basin.
