Edition 2025 — Roasted Chestnut Festival

On the last weekend of October 2025, Casape renewed its appointment with the Roasted Chestnut Festival, dedicated to the chestnut of the Monti Prenestini. In the village's historic center, roasting pans were fired up to roast chestnuts over embers, served alongside typical Casape products and mountain specialties, amidst musical entertainment and shows organized by the Pro Loco with the Municipal Administration.

The 2025 edition of the Roasted Chestnut Festival took place in Casape, in the Lazio region, confirming the autumn tradition of the Monti Prenestini village. In the streets and the square of the historic center, caldarrostiere roasted local chestnuts over embers, the stars of a festival that combined tastings of typical products, mountain cuisine specialties, music, and moments of conviviality.

Organized by the Pro Loco of Casape in collaboration with the Municipal Administration, the event attracted residents and visitors to the medieval alleys of the town, during the period when the Prenestini woods are colored with the warm tones of autumn.
