Edition 2025 — River Film Festival

In 2025, the River Film Festival once again brought international cinema to the floating screen at the Scalinata di Porta Portello in Padova. Featuring short films, documentaries, animation, and new technologies, the event organized by Researching Movies presented works from dozens of countries, judged by a jury and the audience, with free admission on the Piovego canal.

The 2025 edition of the River Film Festival confirmed its formula of a waterfront festival at the Scalinata di Porta Portello in Padova: screenings on a floating screen on the Piovego canal, featuring international short films, documentaries, animation, and sections dedicated to the new frontiers of cinema.

Organized by the Associazione Culturale Researching Movies with the support of city and regional institutions, the festival offered a free-admission program, judged by a qualified jury and the audience, reaffirming its role as one of the most original film events in the Veneto region.
