Edition 2025 — RITESSERE

The RITESSERE project by the Politecnico di Milano, dedicated to recovering sericin from the silk supply chain, developed its outreach initiatives throughout 2025, laying the groundwork for the travelling exhibition on silk and weaving that later visited Concorezzo and other Lombard cities.

The RITESSERE project (Silk Sericin Materials from Textile Industry By-Products), supported by Fondazione Cariplo and curated by the Politecnico di Milano, continued its research and outreach activities in 2025 on the recovery of sericin, a byproduct of silk processing, and its innovative applications.

The scientific and outreach work formed the basis for the travelling exhibition on silk and weaving, dedicated to enhancing Lombardy's silk heritage and showcasing its future potential, from silkworm displays to sustainable materials.
