Edition 2025 — Tables of Saint Joseph

In 2025, Giurdignano once again celebrated the Tables of Saint Joseph on March 18th and 19th. Devotees laid out the traditional Tables in their homes with massa e ciciri, ritual breads, vegetables, fish, and cartellate, while the Pro Loco set up the large table in the square. Open houses, religious rites, and tastings attracted numerous visitors to the Salento historic center.

The 2025 edition of the Rite of the Tables of Saint Joseph took place in Giurdignano, in the province of Lecce, on March 18th and 19th. On the evening of the eve, the homes of the devotees opened their doors to local and foreign visitors, who were able to admire the domestic altars laden with traditional dishes and taste the ritual foods.

As every year, the "Saints" took their places around the Tables in odd numbers, amidst prayers and litanies, while the Pro Loco enlivened the square with stands of local products and storytelling. The event, free and open to all, confirmed Giurdignano as one of the symbolic villages of the cult of Saint Joseph in Salento.
