"Risveglio della Lumaca" Short Play Festival

The first edition (2025)

The "Risveglio della Lumaca" short play competition debuted from March 21 to 23, 2025, at the Teatro Salomone in Cherasco, in the province of Cuneo. The inaugural edition, which featured free registration, attracted submissions from over forty companies from all over Italy, confirming the demand for spaces dedicated to emerging theatre and the short-form genre.

Divided into semi-finals and a finale, the competition saw a clear victory for Beatrice Migliazzo with the short play "Baloo dice silenzio", which she wrote, directed, and performed. The success of the first edition, organized by Il Teatro delle Dieci and ControRealtà, laid the foundation for the event's return the following year.
