Edition 2025 — Rigenera Festival

The second edition of the Rigenera Festival took place from August 1 to 12, 2025, in Calascio, themed "Women and Landscape," offering a female perspective on the Abruzzo mountains. The programme included book presentations, theatrical performances, readings, and concerts in the village and at the Rocca, exploring memory, nature, and the identity of the Gran Sasso territory.

Rigenera Festival 2025 — "Women and Landscape"

The second edition of the Rigenera Festival was held in Calascio (L'Aquila) from August 1 to 12, 2025, dedicated to the theme "Women and Landscape": the female gaze as a key to reinterpreting the mountain territory through memory, care, and a vision for the future.

The calendar alternated between literary meetings and performances. Highlights included the presentation of "Scellerate" by Antonella Finucci (Radici Edizioni) and "Altritudini" by Francesca Camilla D'Amico in the Church of San Leonardo, as well as the performance "Maja. Storie di donne dalla Majella al Gran Sasso" by Bradamante Teatro in Piazza dei Quattro Martiri. On August 24, the Rocca di Calascio hosted a concert by Erica Mou. The programme was completed by a residential theatre workshop and community theatre activities with the village youth.

The edition confirmed the festival's commitment, as part of the "Rocca Calascio – Luce d'Abruzzo" project (PNRR), to weaving together culture and the regeneration of inland areas in Abruzzo.
