Rifondazione in Festa

The 31st edition of Rifondazione in Festa enlivened San Giovanni Rotondo from July 30 to August 2, 2025, confirming its status as one of the most well-attended political festivals in the Gargano. Four evenings of music, debate, and social life in the courtyard of the Scuola Melchionda, with free admission and popular cuisine prepared by volunteers.

Every evening, the program combined a current affairs debate with a musical event: from topics like repression and the Security Decree to narratives on the conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine, to concerts by Lucky Salvadori, Manu Chao's long-time guitarist, and a DJ set by Bunna, co-founder of Africa Unite. As per tradition, the festival was entirely self-funded and made possible by the voluntary work of dozens of activists from the Communist Refoundation Party.

• 20:00 — Debate "Gaza: normalizing genocide" with Marianna Lentini (sociologist and author) and Giuseppe Flavio Pagano (photographer and activist)
• 22:00 — DJ set with Bunna (Africa Unite)

Saturday, August 2

• 18:00 — Collective training in memory of Eppe Merla
• 20:00 — Debate "Gaza and Ukraine, double standards: conflicts beyond Western narratives" with Maurizio Acerbo (PRC national secretary) and Benedetta Sabene (journalist), moderated by Gennaro Tedesco
• 22:00 — Concert by Lucky Salvadori, Manu Chao's long-time guitarist
• 23:30 — Closing with Samen Mi Casa
