Edition 2025 — Riflessi d'Arte

Riflessi d'Arte debuted in 2026 as the first edition of the festival dedicated to optics and the Optical Chamber of Rocca Sanvitale. Even before the event was created, the Rocca of Fontanellato offered visitors tours of its 19th-century Optical Chamber, an authentic technological treasure unique to an Italian castle and the inspiration for the festival.

Towards the first edition

In 2025, the Rocca Sanvitale in Fontanellato (province of Parma, Emilia-Romagna) continued to welcome visitors with its museum tour and the renowned Optical Chamber, a still-functioning 19th-century optical device. It was precisely around this instrument, capable of projecting an upside-down image of the town square using mirrors and lenses, that the idea for an event dedicated to the art of seeing matured, taking shape with the first edition of Riflessi d'Arte in May 2026.
