Rificolona Festival

The 2025 edition of the Rificolona Festival took place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in Florence. In the afternoon, the traditional pilgrimage on foot departed around 2:30 PM from the Sanctuary of Impruneta, covering about sixteen kilometers to the Tuscan capital. Upon arriving in the city, the pilgrims joined the city procession in Piazza Santa Felicita around 7:00 PM, then crossed the historic center between Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and the Duomo, until reaching Piazza Santissima Annunziata.

From 8:30 PM, the square hosted games and entertainment; at 9:30 PM, the blessing of the rificolone was held, followed by the awarding of the most beautiful lanterns and a concert by Tommaso Imperiali & Five Quarters. Numerous districts of Florence enlivened the festival with processions, workshops, and initiatives for children and families.
