Edition 2025 — RIFF

The 24th edition of the RIFF – Rome Independent Film Festival took place in Rome from November 21 to 28, 2025, between the Nuovo Cinema Aquila and the Cinema Farnese. The program featured thirteen competition sections and over eighty works in Italian premiere, with a focus on the challenges of audiovisual media in the face of new artificial intelligence frontiers.

RIFF 2025: the 24th edition

The 2025 edition of the RIFF – Rome Independent Film Festival was held in Rome from November 21 to 28, hosted by the Nuovo Cinema Aquila and the Cinema Farnese. The festival offered thirteen national and international competition sections, with a program of over eighty works in Italian premiere, including feature films, documentaries, short films, and animated films.

The theme of future technological challenges was highly prominent, with particular attention to the relationship between cinema and artificial intelligence. Among the special events, a meeting was dedicated to the challenges of writing for television and cinema. The awards ceremony concluded with recognition for the winning works, including E se mio padre and Violent Butterflies.
