In 2025, Desenzano del Garda also remembered the Battle of Solferino and San Martino of 1859 with a historical reenactment at Parco del Laghetto, featuring camps, drills, and the reenactment of the clash, in anticipation of the major 165th anniversary event.
In June 2025, Desenzano del Garda's Parco del Laghetto hosted the reenactment of the Battle of Solferino and San Martino, with camps of historical groups, military drills, camp life, and the reenactment of the clash between the armies of 1859. The event, curated by ACRIMPERI, confirmed the deep connection between the Garda region and the memory of the Risorgimento, anticipating the 165th anniversary edition in 2026.
