Rieti in Fiore

The first edition

In May 2025, the historic center of Rieti hosted Rieti in Fiore for the first time, transforming into an open-air garden for three days. Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, literally covered in flowers, was the heart of the event, with stands from nurserymen, rare plant and exotic flower retailers, and green-space specialists.

Alongside the commercial aspect, the program offered live music, crafts, dance performances, and numerous workshops designed for children. Guided tours of the historic center included a stop at the Hortus Simplicium, the medieval botanical garden next to the Papal Palace, with educational activities. The initiative, with free admission, recorded a very large turnout of families and tourists and sold out the city's accommodation facilities, a result that convinced the administration to bring the event back the following year.
