Rieti Carnival 2025
The 2025 edition of the Rieti Carnival took place on Sunday, February 23, with the masked parade starting at 2:00 PM from the square in front of the Perseo Shopping Center. The procession traveled along Via Mercatanti, Viale Matteucci, Via Sacchetti Sassetti, and Via Salaria towards Porta Romana, crossing Piazza della Repubblica and Via Raccuini before returning via Via Verani.
Twenty allegorical floats and seven walking groups participated. Among the most popular themes were children's stories like Pinocchio and Alice in Wonderland, the circus, the Wild West, ancient Egypt, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Michael Jackson's Thriller, alongside local folklore references such as the Scarecrow and the Terminillo with skis on its back, with the Lisciano Marching Band dressed in mountain-themed costumes.
At the end of the parade, the awards ceremony and the concert by Luca & Germano took place, while along the route, food stalls, music stations managed by local presenters, and entertainment points accompanied families and children throughout the day.
