Edition 2025 — Riesling Days
2025 Edition
The 2025 Riesling Days marked the twentieth edition of the National Riesling Competition in Naturno. A total of 52 labels from six Italian regions, ranging from South Tyrol to Molise, were blind-tasted by a jury of 16 experts, including sommeliers and oenologists, who gathered in late August.
The award ceremony took place on November 7, 2025, as part of the 34th Merano WineFestival at the Kurhaus in Merano. The winner was the Riesling Alto Adige Val Venosta DOC Vigna Windbichel from the Unterortl – Castel Juval winery in Castelbello, ahead of the Riesling Altissimus Hedwigsberg by Eduard Bernhart (Malles) and the Riesling Hérzu Langhe DOC by Ettore Germano (Serralunga d'Alba, Piedmont), confirming the growing quality of Italian Riesling.
