Edition 2025 — Rice Festival
The 2025 edition of the Rice Festival enlivened Piazzale Mainoli in Sannazzaro de' Burgondi with traditional Lomellina risottos, the Chicco d'Oro competition, rice cultivation exhibitions, and direct sales of local rice, confirming the festival as a key gastronomic event in the province of Pavia.
The 44th Rice Festival in 2025 re-proposed its proven formula: three days of risotto tastings at Piazzale Mainoli in Sannazzaro de' Burgondi, with the Chicco d'Oro competition awarding the best risotto, exhibitions on Lomellina rice cultivation, and direct sales of local rice varieties. The event reaffirmed the strong link between the town and the culture of rice, the economic and identity soul of Lomellina.
