Ribera DOP Orange Festival

2025 Edition

In December 2025, the celebration of the Ribera DOP Orange was intertwined with the initiative "The Food Paths of Long Life", held in Ribera from December 19 to 21, 2025. The inaugural meeting took place in the Emanuela and Giovanni Ragusa conference hall.

The program offered taste trails, sensory workshops, guided tastings, and informative meetings on Sicilian food culture and products from the Platani Valley. Among the key figures of the initiative, promoted by Smap with the support of the Regional Department of Agriculture, were Mayor Matteo Ruvolo, the president of the DOP Orange Consortium Salvatore Daino, and professors from the University of Palermo. The edition confirmed the central role of the Riberella in the gastronomic identity of the Municipality of Ribera and the province of Agrigento.
