Edition 2025 — Return of the Ceri
In 2025 too, the Return of the Ceri to the City opened the month of the Ceri Festival in Gubbio. On May 3rd, the Ceri were brought back from the Basilica of Saint Ubaldo, on Mount Ingino, to the city, welcomed by the town band and drummers and the sound of the Campanone bell.
The traditional spins, first in the Basilica's Cloister and then in Piazza Grande, involved the entire Gubbio community. The Ceri were then housed in the Palazzo dei Consoli awaiting the race on May 15th, the culminating moment of the city's tradition.
