Edition 2025 — Renon Railway Birthday

On August 13, 2025, the Municipality of Renon celebrated the birthday of its historic little train with the traditional special run aboard vintage carriages between Soprabolzano and Maria Assunta. With a meeting at the Soprabolzano Tourist Office and guidance from workshop experts, the event renewed the summer tradition dedicated to the plateau's railway heritage, bringing together enthusiasts and vacationing families.

The 2025 edition of the Renon Railway Birthday took place on August 13, 2025, on the anniversary of the line's inauguration (1907).

As per tradition, the day featured a special run with vintage carriages along the Soprabolzano - Maria Assunta route, including the return trip, accompanied by stories from the Renon Railway workshop experts. The event, organized by the Renon Railway Committee together with the Renon Tourist Association, reaffirmed the plateau community's commitment to this small narrow-gauge railway, the only one surviving in South Tyrol.
