Edition 2025 — Most Holy Crucifix of Serranova

In 2025, the village of Serranova in Carovigno once again renewed its ancient appointment with the Festival of the Most Holy Crucifix on May 3rd: a Eucharistic celebration, a procession of the miraculous Crucifix through the village streets, and a traditional fair attracted faithful and visitors from the Brindisi area.

The 2025 edition of the Religious Festival of the Most Holy Crucifix was celebrated on May 3rd in the village of Serranova, a hamlet of Carovigno, in the province of Brindisi. According to secular tradition, the community gathered around the venerated Crucifix of Serranova, carried in procession to ward off calamities and drought, following a devotional rite handed down for generations.

The day combined the liturgical moment, with the solemn Eucharistic celebration, with the popular dimension of the procession and the traditional agricultural and commercial fair, drawing the inhabitants of Carovigno and neighboring towns to Serranova in an atmosphere of faith and rural celebration.
