Edition 2025 — Maritime Republics Regatta

The 70th edition of the Regatta of the Ancient Maritime Republics was held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in Amalfi, the host city for that year. Genoa triumphed, marking its fourth consecutive victory, ahead of Amalfi, Pisa (third with the Red Galleon), and Venice. The race took place from the waters off Vettica to Marina Grande in Amalfi, in an edition that confirmed the Genoese dominance of recent years.

The 2025 edition of the Regatta of the Ancient Maritime Republics, the 70th in history, took place on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in Amalfi, the organizing seat for that year. Pisa competed with its Red Galleon, finishing in third place in a challenge won by Genoa, marking their fourth consecutive success. The regatta was held on a course starting from the waters off Vettica and finishing at Marina Grande in Amalfi.

In 2025, the event once again combined sport, historical re-enactment, and maritime tradition, keeping the memory of the four great Italian Maritime Republics alive while awaiting the return of the competition to Pisa.
