Edition 2025 — Regata delle Befane
In 2025 too, on January 6th, the Regata delle Befane enlivened Venice's Grand Canal with its rowers dressed as Befana. The water challenge, organized by the Reale Società Canottieri Bucintoro, confirmed the Epiphany event as one of the most characteristic and beloved of the Venetian calendar.
In 2025, the Regata delle Befane renewed the Epiphany tradition on Venice's Grand Canal.
The Bucintoro rowers, dressed as Befana, competed up to the Rialto Bridge, amidst crowded banks and bridges, on a day of sport and folklore that opens the Venetian rowing season each year.
Programme
The 2025 edition followed the usual format: dressing of the Befane at the Magazzini del Sale, water procession along the Grand Canal, and regatta finishing under the Rialto Bridge.
